Ode

Father
Everyone has a father, and everyone needs a dad
Leader and protector, the corner stone of our family
Always appearing calm and tranquil, responsibility is his major
He can seem annoying and intercepting but he is only caring.

But often we do not recognize his kindness
We blame and ignore his work and sweat to make a better family
More love is needed, to bond and understand
If he isn’t here, we will be helpless and heartless

What will we do without a father? Who will take his heavy load?
Nothing can replace our father, like a puzzle piece of our life
Irreplaceable being, don’t leave us, lead us to the rightful way
Let us be kind and respectful this being, when he is next to you.

Ellegy- Death in the Family

Black suits, ties, and snow white shirts
All happiness just seemed to demolish
Waterfalls of tears, falling from rivers of memories
Why did you have to leave, I need you back

Such wonderful times, where we dance together
I remember your sweet strawberry tart, freshly baked
I miss your warm hand across my back, now is icy cold
Hug me more, love me more, I want you back

Even though you have gone your own way
A part of you I still kept with me when you were gone
I will keep you in my heart until I am with you too

Ballad

Colombo
Heavy rain pours down on the land
The Land of Colombo
No one left to take a stand
Against the mighty storm

Rescue teams are out to save
The drowning and the lost
Swiped away by fearsome wave
“Help!” they cry in fear.

As the navy soldier rolled
The wave smashed the boat
Five people from young to old
Drowning without resist

Seven families drenched in tear
Mourning through the night
As their loved ones disappear
They search for them all night
